This past weekend, our President, Chuck Rocha, and Vice President, Vanessa Moyonero, attended Netroots Nation in Atlanta, GA. We were proud to be able to participate in the Diversifying the Progress Movement panel which covered progressive issues across the board and long term strategies to overcome the lack of diversity within the progressive movement. And Chuck was honored to conclude the conference with the announcement that Netroots Nation will be in New Orleans, next year! If you missed the live announcement, the speech is available on the Solidarity Strategies Facebook page.
Pictured above is the complete panel: Jalisa Washington, Director of the Office of Diversity at the DCCC; Amber Goodwin, Executive Director of the Community Justice Reform Committee; Madalene Mielke, Founder and Principal of Arum Group, LLC; and Jessica Byrd, Founder of Three Point Strategies. You can watch the entire panel here.
We will win as long as we don’t give up.
See you soon,
