The news on DACA is devastating for our community and our firm as we are made up of immigrants and children of immigrants. We are heartbroken and disappointed in this administration’s cruel actions. Nevertheless, we cannot and will not allow Trump to break us.
Earlier this week, we were proud to be included in the Reuters article, “Immigrant ‘Dreamers’ – and their bosses – wait anxiously for Trump decision.” Our Creative Director, Luis, spoke about how DACA has benefited him, “It just empowers people to be able to find a job, to get a car, to buy a house, to move around, to contribute to their families.”
We have had several DACA recipients work at our firm and are proud of Luis, Jessica, and Juve who shared their stories on the Hill and continue to speak out. We will continue to fight for all undocumented immigrants until there is a pathway to citizenship for them.
We need you all to act now and help defend our community. Please call your Member of Congress and urge them to support the DREAM Act. For more information on how to help defend DACA, visit the website: http://defenddaca.com/ to see what events you can attend and how to take action.
Together in this fight,
